My First flight October 1949 De-Haviland Dragon Rapide (Dominie) by Tony Chetham This aircraft flew us from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. The following day we joined the BOAC Springbok Service a short Solent flying boat that began the service in Durban. The three day flight was along the Nile to Cairo then Sicily and onto Southampton Water.
